Model railroading is a long-time hobby of mine. Years ago I built a custom DCC decoder to upgrade my locomotives with precise speed and function control. Fitting everything on a small PCB inside the engine required careful planning, but it enabled smooth multi-train operation on my layout. The process had its hurdles, much like dealing with Dominion customer service on a recent matter, where clear steps led to a good resolution.
